Court Facilities Standards Committee to review judicial center projects planned for Allen and Morgan counties

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Court Facilities Standards Committee will meet to discuss judicial center projects planned for Allen and Morgan counties at 10 a.m. EDT Monday, Aug. 31, at the Administrative Office of the Courts in Frankfort. The AOC is located at 100 Millcreek Park in Frankfort. The meeting will take place in the AOC Building 12 conference room.

The meeting is open to the public.

Under the original project plans for the judicial centers, the Allen County facility would be 41,000 square feet with an estimated total project cost of $16 million and the Morgan County facility would be 39,444 square feet with an estimated total project cost of $16.2 million.

The CFSC is a 10-member body comprised of representatives from the Kentucky Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches of government and a county official appointed by the governor. The committee reviews design plans, cost estimates and financing proposals for new court facilities statewide. State Sen. Robert Stivers chairs the 10-member committee, which includes Chief Justice of Kentucky John D. Minton Jr., AOC Director Laurie Dudgeon and Rep. John Tilley.

The committee operates under the auspices of the AOC, which is the operational arm of the Kentucky Court of Justice. The AOC Office of Budget and Policy, Division of Capital Construction, oversees court facility construction throughout the commonwealth.

Take I-64 West to Frankfort’s first exit, Exit 58. Turn left off the exit onto U.S. 60 (Versailles Road) and go through one traffic light. From west Kentucky
Connect with Bluegrass PKW East toward Bardstown. Take the US-127 exit - EXIT 59 - toward Harrodsburg/ Lawrenceburg. Turn right onto US-127 N / KY-513 W. Continue to follow US-127 N.
