Parent's Education Clinic
The Parents Education Clinics, designed to educate divorcing parents about emotional disruption, are offered throughout the week on a county basis. Topics addressed during the sessions include: identifying potential pitfalls, conflict resolution, stress management, guidance, and support tips. Attendees have the opportunity to share experiences, ideas and goals through small group discussion.
You must arrive on time to receive credit for your attendance, which is required to request a final hearing date for the divorce proceedings. You should bring your case number with you to receive credit for attending the clinics.
The clinics are open to individuals who have filed in other circuit courts, as well as any person who has not yet filed for divorce. Directed by trained professionals, the clinics last approximately two hours. There is no need to pre-register.
All programs are held in the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse, Circuit Court Building, 120 North Limestone Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507. The Circuit Court building is located at the Corner of Main and North Limestone Streets.
Persons should arrive 15-20 minutes early with their case number and a $10.00 fee. Registration will be completed on the day of the clinic and a copy of the sign-in sheet verifying the attendance will be placed in the court file. Late attendees will not be admitted. A list of helpful tips are provided below.

Helpful Tips
- The clinics will be held at the Robert Stephens Courthouse, (Circuit Courthouse), 120 North Limestone, Lexington – 1st Floor Multi-Purpose Room unless otherwise specified on the court monitors.
- You are NOT required to pre-register unless you need special assistance. Registration will be held as you enter the clinic.
- If you have a special need, such as an interpreter or you are hearing impaired, please call (859) 246-2789 to schedule an interpreter at least 5 days prior to the clinic in which you will attend.
- You must bring your case number with you to the clinic registration. The number is needed for you to get credit for attending the clinic.
- Everyone entering the courthouse is required to go through the metal detector; therefore, you will need to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled clinic. Late arrivals will not be permitted in the clinic.
- The clinic lasts approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours.
- You should attend the first available clinic scheduled after the petition has been filed and you must attend the clinic before a final hearing is held.
- Do NOT bring children to the Parents Education Clinic. Childcare is not available. Children are not permitted in the clinic and are not permitted in the courthouse unattended.
- Cell phones, pagers and computers must be turned off during the clinic.
- A $10.00 fee is to be paid at registration. Please have the proper change.

Tween Time
Tween Time is a mandatory workshop program for children in the sixth through eighth grades.
All programs are held in the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse, Circuit Court Building, 120 North Limestone Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507. The Circuit Court building is located at the Corner of Main and North Limestone Streets.
The sessions are held on the same Saturdays as when the Parent's Education Clinic are scheduled, but in a different rooms. The workshops are directed by trained professionals and last approximately one and a half (l.5) hours. No fees are required for children to attend the Tween Time or Kid's Time Clinics. Parents should provide their case docket number at registration to assure credit for the children's attendance.
