Directions:
From the east on 460 or 114 turn right at the end of Mountain Parkway and continue about two miles on 460 into town. Turn right at the second red light, then turn right into Magoffin County Justice Center parking lot. From west on Mountain Parkway turn left at the end of Mountain Parkway and continue about two miles. Turn right at the second red light turn then turn right into the parking lot downtown at Magoffin County Justice Center.

Parking:
In front of the Magoffin County Justice Center is two handicapped spots. There are more at the back of the building. Parking is located in the back of the building.

Monday: 
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Thursday: 
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday: 
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Services:
The Magoffin Office of the Circuit Court Clerk maintains the records for the Circuit and District Court. Circuit Court handles both Civil Cases over $4,000, Adoptions/Terminations, Appeals, and Circuit Felonies. District Court handles Civil matters up to $4,000/Evictions; Small Claims up to $1,500; Appeals Juvenile/Paternity cases; Domestic Violence; Probates/Name change; Involuntary Hospitalizations; Disability Cases; Traffic; Misdemeanor; and Felony arraignments and Preliminary Hearings.; Posting of bonds, Payment of fines. Computer terminals are available to the public to research records starting in March of 1993. Case indexes start in 1860. The Drivers License Department issues drivers licenses, permits, CDL licenses, and State I.D.s.

Drivers License Information:
Drivers tests are Tuesday at 8 a.m. You must be at the testing site at the Magoffin Justice Center by 8 a.m. The examiner is not allowed to give the road test if it is raining. Permit tests are given Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m - 2 p.m.
